9 PM to 11 PM, Kitchener City Hall - The Cube, 200 King St W, Kitchener, ON N2G 4G7

Produced by City of Kitchener

CITY HALL is a video projection on the Cube, high above the Kitchener City Hall. In the projection a familiar image stands prominently and gradually disappears. The process of erosion evokes the past - if not a memory.

Dylan Reibling is an award-winning filmmaker and interactive artist. Originally from the tiny village of Baden Ontario, Dylan now lives and works in Toronto.

As a filmmaker, Dylan’s work ranges from stop-motion animation to dramatic narratives to historical documentaries. His short films have been featured at over 50 prestigious film festivals around the world including the Toronto International Film Festival, Tribeca, Palm Springs, and BFI London Film Festival. As an interactive artist, his work explores the limits of physical objects and digital technologies and where the lines between the two can blur.

In all media, Dylan explores the mechanics of narrative. His interests include texture, tactility and touch – and how they work across different platforms.

This project was made possible by the Christie/CAFKA Artists-In-Residence program and the City of Kitchener.
