As a response to the 2020 pandemic closure of many indoor spaces the Downtown Kitchener Business Improvement Area (BIA) partnered with CAFKA and other organizations to help create a series of murals on buildings throughout the core. This initiative served to beautify the Downtown and bring people together, at a distance, through local art. CAFKA selected and invited artists to participate, coordinated artist contributions and helped City staff to produce the project equitably.
