You are cordially invited to attend the opening reception for CAFKA.16 featuring installations, interventions, performances and projections by Acapulco, Jaime Angelopolous, Claire Ashley, Lisa Birke, Paul Chartrand, DodoLab, Meghan Harder, David Jensenius, Scenocosme, Jimmy Limit, Mary Ma, MAW Collective, Jamelie Hassan, Ed Pien.

CAFKA.16's curatorial partners Open Ears Festival of Music and Sound, University of Waterloo Art Gallery, Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, Critical Media Lab, Idea Exchange Art + Design and Cambridge Sculpture Garden are featuring work by artistis Zhaoyi Kang, Ron Benner, Andrew McPhail. Nahed Mansour, Vessna Perunovich, Francisco-Ferdinando Granados, Adrian Stimson & Lori Blondeau, Rory MacDonald, Dear Human, Orest Tataryn, Vanessa Yanow & John Tinbolt, Tristan Perich, Jennifer Chan, Clint Enns, Winston Hacking, Jodie Mack, Alison S. M. Kobayashi, Phillip David Stearns, Ryan Maguire.

CAFKA – Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener and Area is a non-profit, artist-run organization that presents a biennial exhibition of contemporary art in the public spaces of the City of Kitchener and across the Region of Waterloo. The CAFKA.16 biennial exhibition is presented by Christie Digital Systems Inc., and is supported by the City of Kitchener, Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation – Musagetes Fund, Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Laurence Capital, Downtown Kitchener BIA, City of Waterloo, Good Foundation, Whitney Residential and CAFKA’s membership, volunteers and private donors.

After the opening reception, there will be an Artist Party at the Centre In the Square in the KWAG Community Room and in the CITS Members' Lounge. The party features DJs Adeel Khan, PurrpelleScarlet Spades, and a performance by the Bjorn Borg Collective, plus interactive art happenings. Tickets are $20 Available at http://cafkaparty.bpt.me/.
